LEGO® Robotics (recommended for 2nd and 3rd graders) is our basic class, where beginners learn to build and program robots using LEGO® Education’s award-winning WeDo robotics kits and programming software.
In this class students follow step-by -step instructions to build their robots. Once the robots are finished, kids (with guidance from our instructors) write a simple program that makes robots achieve a certain task. After programming, we give those who are ready several engineering and programming challenges involving different combinations of gears, pulleys and even motion sensors.
In this class kids learn:
- simple engineering concepts involving motors, pulleys and different combinations of gears
- types of gears and how they work together
- elementary programming concepts
Class format :
